As is often the case, Ottawa dispensed with spring this year, leaping
from cold to hot in about a week. The result almost no irises one week
and many the next. I.lacustris burst out of now where with many flowers
on the same day. I write to mention, in particular, my I.magnifica.
Last year it had one stalk and some flowers, this year four stalks and
what appears to be 58 flowers or buds. Seven aside on each stalk!
