Point scoring is an excellent way to settle an argument, decide a winner,
etc. I've seen it used to determine Queen (Best Specimen) of show more than
once. (I lost! ) It's a good idea for the judges to keep the concept in mind.
However, please, do not encourage it on a regular basis! Not on paper.
A show in our region took 3 1/2 hours to judge approx. 250 entries and opened
an hour late. Many viewers left rather than wait indefinitely. One can only
imagine how long it would have taken with point scoring!
Betty in BG KY . . . where there has never been a show that someone didn't
gripe about something! <sigh>
