Re: CULT: floppy TBs

Wind is the causative factor of TBs that "flop" in our garden. About
three years ago we were sitting on the screened back porch enjoying a warm,
sunny June day when a tremendous howling wind came through.
We watched CLARENCE and CANTINA among others fall over (stalks did not
break) and they stayed down.

My husband went down to the hardware store to buy plant stakes and
I had to stake almost every tall, blooming iris. I also have to stake
lilium (especially trumpets which are my fav) and of course peonies
which the rain and wind always topple. Daylilies make it on their own.
