Re: OT-weather-brrrrrr
Brrrr to all the cold state Aussies, That is a frozen Hello , I read
Colleens message with envy, Can I PLEASE come in your suitcase
Colleen...Today is sideways sleet, 3 degreesC,at 12.39pm,.was -1 at
5.45am,can't seee more than 50 metres away, cows huddled under trees, calves
cozy in sheds, horses rugged and dripping, garden singing, cos it's
raining....We actually need this horrible weather so our water tables can be
replenished, and funnily enough it has been cold and dry this month..I have
never had any of my TBs rebloom, some are meant to, probably gets too cold
when they should be thinking of it, however, BULBSare leaping out of the
ground and pots, and PCNs seedlings are popping up at a rapid rate. Must
remember to look closely when weeding. Yes, I do weed in the cold weather...
it's just as well my neighbours are miles away as I am definately a fashion
statement not to be seen. Thanks for the eradication program for
pseudocaurus... it is in the sinbin or garbage bag, I wouldn't like to
tackle that monster again. Think of me peoples, when you are tucked up
inside your homes and heaters tonight., milking is a horrible job in this
weather, and I am being so policitcally correct.it is
painful.........Cheers,.....wendy.....wendon@dcsi.net.au
P.S. Just tipped out 10mls of rain in 40mins and it is still pouring or
sleeting, it's fluffy rain...... - Original

> Hi from the frozen south. Well we didn't get any snow today, but it was
over the Mt Lofty ranges only about 15 km away, and much of the northern
pastoral district got blanketed. This morning most of our rain was actually
hail. The thermometer says it actually got up to 10 C degree, but I must
have missed that millisecond. Most of the day it was around 4C. Was down to
0C at 6pm. Am estatic for my seedlings sake, plus tulips etc, it has been
far too warm lately.
> My TBs that are flowering are delightfully lacy around the edges now,
amazing the effect of hail. The forcast is for heavy frosts next week, which
will spoil my rebloomers, rats. However I get to fly to Perth tomorrow,
again. Don't mind this time, it's been about 22C there lately. I get to stay
warm, and my plants get suitably chilled.
