Dear Neil,
Well, I'm not very schooled on form, but DIRECT FLIGHT had lovely
falls that really stand out horizontally and I liked that look...also the
blue i the beard. Now if COUNTRY DANCE had bloomed around the same time (
it has a fabulous mostly blue beard) I would've used it with DF in a
heartbeat. CD is an IB and had no pollen, but I'd have used it as the pod
parent.
I didn't really have any defined goals in the DF crosses (nor
Maria Tormena crosses for that matter)...mostly just trying to combine pinks
to see what happens. DF btw had a much more lavender look than a pink look,
perhaps my soil. Anyway, it'll be interresting to see what comes up when
they sprout and bloom/
