If you have a Green Thumb or other nursery that carries Farmers brand
planter mix, it's great to add to your sandy soil. A fine grind, organic
composted blend (mostly wood products) that doesn't seem to contain much if
any of the manure products which can be too hot/salty. I've even used it
straight with excellent results. And it's one of the cheapest bagged
products on the market around here.
