It is possible to subscribe to Yahoo groups <without> going thru their
registration process, thereby avoiding their cookies.

However, it's not possible to access their photo files unless
registered.  Be nice if the messages from the new erobins could be
archived at hortnet (along with photos, if they have any) like the space
age, species, photos, & this list.  Wish the LA group had theirs
archived, but apparently they don't want to.
