Why rinse at all? Just let them air dry for a few hours. Chlorine will disperse in just a few hours. I have poured full strength on rhizomes to get rid of rot. No rinsing after.
I have left rhizomes soak over night in a 20% solution with no harm. Leaves do turn a yucky yellow green. Never lost a rhizome from bleach.

I wonder if rinsing the bleach off the rhizones with a bit of vinegar in the first rinse and after ten or fifteen minutes rinsing the rhizomes with clear water to remove any vinegar residue. Does anyone have any thoughts or information about this?
Thank you for the information about vinegar Anner.
