Christian, not necessary.  I have a lot of stained spathes in my  plicata 
lines, red lines and purple lines.  Certain crosses are producing  close to 50 % 
PBF.  Usually the stained spaths come from these.  
 
This is the first time they've shown up in the pinks.  Plus the color  is 
more of a lavender than in the others.  I have no memory of the fans  having PBF. 
 Hope it isn't just a maiden bloom "thing!"  I like  it.  It was impressive 
with 3 stalks and I can imagine a full clump!  
 
I found a bee pod on ECHO LOCATION (future introduction) and noted that it  
has a purple tinted pod.  Something I associate with RADIANT BLISS.  But it 
blows my theory that the purple pod comes from the HOT STREAK side  of the 
family!!  The iris they have in common is EARL OF ESSEX.  I'll  check again.  Maybe 
it was just dust or shadow!  <vbg>  Oh,  ECHO LOCATION is a child of REBOUND.
