Quoting iris DIGEST <iris-owner@hort.net>:
I use zinc plant markers (10" rose markers) but print CLEAR labels on my laser printer. We are in a very cold USDA zone 4b up here in Canada and our winters are BRUTAL!! My laser'd labels come through perfect!! Some are entering their 3rd summer but most their 2nd. In all cases, if it wasn't for the zinc portion that has lost its shine, you'd never know they've been subjected to such unforgiving conditions!!
If you'd like to see photo's of my older plant markers, let me now.
Hope this helps!
Berni in Canada
USDA zone 4b
