Pat:

Have you seen the Are You An Iris Fan, Fancier or Fanatic on the Just for
Fun CD? There is one section that says your friend is an iris fanatic for
winning two different shows with the same stalk.

"was beaten by
"Cordoba". She took the same stalk to the Ft. Worth show on Sat. and won
best
of show there also. "

Scarlett, we had a very nice show, 250 entries by 18 people. The reason I

know exactly is that I do the tabulation.
My "Address Unknown" was named best purple and was considered for Queen of
show, but was beaten by
"Cordoba". She took the same stalk to the Ft. Worth show on Sat. and won
best
of show there also. That is really getting the use out of your iris.

Our show in Las Cruces, NM was also this weekend. Are you guys in Dallas
having the problems we are having? We have been having lots of cold nights
and

warm days. Most people hardly have anything. It was a thin show this
year.
Except for me. I had lots blooming. I can't figure out if it was because
I have lots of rebloomers or because I have security light in the back yard
and a street light in the front. Even people only a few miles away only
had a
few blooming.

Tomorrow is the big show day for Dallas, because next week is the AIS meet
in Austin.
I have a lot of irises in bloom so I think this will be a nice show. Of
course my queen
of show bloomed last week. It was a perfect stalk of "That's All
Folks".
Also had two great stalks of reblooming seedlings. Well, maybe next
year. Perhaps we should have a "what if"
meeting about a week before the show so that folks could see our best
blooms
(LOL).
