This sounds similar to 'Belle of Amherst'. 

BTW, there are irises blooming here in Tewksbury, Mass! MDBs ALPINE LAKE 
and KIDDIELAND, SDBs BROAD GRIN and WILLOWMIST! These are in a very 
protected spot, maybe a mini zone 6. The two clumps of asiatic lilies 
nearby are over a foot tall, and look like they want to bud!
