Re: Wal-Mart Woes

Walter Moores wrote that he bought what was labeled ORANGE PARADE and
got something obviously newer, different, fancier. I bought OP (or
at least so-labelled) from Wal-Mart in the fall of 1995, much too
late to be planted outside in this climate. So it went into a pot
all winter, thrived in the house under lights, and in the spring of
1996 it went into the garden. No bloom last year, but much increase,
and now it has survived the April freeze of 1997 with apparently
minimal damage. I hope to find out what I got in a month or so, and
I also hope to have the same pleasant surprise Walter got. That
would not be a bad deal for $1.50, even it took some work to identify.
