dazzling our minds

Hi- the iris diease is very strong at my house this year. It is unbelievable
how fast the iris are opening. It is as though the plant cannot wait to get
out there and bloom whether is is really fully formed. The anxiety for sun is
just overwhelming!
My northside fence has a band of mostly pci's just going nuts. First
time bloom for me "BAT BOY" is really great tones. I really prefer blues, but
!
The front garden out by the stree has a conglomeration of bearded iris.
"WITCHING" and 'COPATONIC" both TBs by B Blyth are very interesting-
fetching might be a good word. Tidy plants which call from across the lawn
-see me!
"MYSTIQUE", and " RANCHO ROSE" are blooming nicely also. I'm not sure which
is older but"LORILEY"and " PHEASANT EYE" are the oldest iris I have in bloom
today. All of these are bicolor or bitoned .
The species of the day for me is I. astrchanica. Can anyone tell me if it
is the parent of anything we know todate?

Another day has seen the sunset, and I was out weeding until dark again. Just
another chance to visit some friends and fight some foes.

Welcome to the new beeies- lots of information can be gleened from this site.
Enjoy!

Dalia man-thanks for info on I japonica, but I thought for the most part the
beardless are moved in the fall.

Linda- what plants did you sell at your show?

Nancy- you are right, too much too fast on the bloom season- it's
overwhelming. Yeah!

Rita from the Tacoma area where we are experiencing unseasonably warm weather
and sunshine which will help our spring regional this coming weekend. Close
to Puget sound which gives us a "mediteranean climate"
