Rick, Now I understand why perhaps some of the iris I had dug and replanted
last year did not bloom -- because I was being 'thrifty' and saving EVERYTHING!>
Re your comment about ">Mulching is not advised." My feeling is still that
in this location and climate the mulching does help keep the soil from
drying out, and I have never had a problem with anything rotting -- if that
is why you recommend against mulching.
