Well I sure can! Since I really kind of lean toward the beardless irises, I
can recommend some that have done well for me.
Jewelled Crown (sib)... lovely plum purple with distinctive gold 'crown'
signal
Snow Prince (sib)... fantastic ramrod straight stalks, tiny white
species-like flowers
Lake Keuka - a two tone blue... incredible grower and took the Portland
convention by storm
Dance Ballerina Dance.... pink confection. The only thing I saved when I got
into a bad accident coming home from Maryland - left my purse, left my
suitcase... even left my passengers... but I had my plant - potted - balanced
on my hip while we checked for injuries in the other cars.
Little Tricolor - not new at all, but won't disappoint anyone. Blue, violet
& plum.
Shaker's Prayer - very tall, species-like, blue. Regal.
JI's
I love the 3-falls, so you'll have to depend on someone else if you prefer a
fuller flower
Popular Acclaim - white falls, purple standards. Stunning clump and good
grower
Stately Flamingo - very tall flamingo pink
Niagara Power - locally hybridized and my all time favorite JI... gunmetal
blue falls, shot with magenta veins... magenta standards. Hybridized by an
80 y/o German woman... just for love.
Joy Peters - tailored pink
That's a good starter collection. DO get in touch with Ensata Gardens,
Draycott Gardens, Aitken's ...
