"African" Iris

The flower that has been at least tentatively identified as "African" iris
is about 3' tall, slender stalk topped with a blossom that is at least
somewhat similar to pictures I've seen of some Louisianas. The 3 upright
style arms are lavender almost 1/2" wide with a vertical split near the end
of each. The recurved falls are white (there are 6) with alternating
markings; every other one has a bright golden throat/signal; the others are
marked at the throat with short black dashes.

Does it bloom? YES!! As a matter of fact, I'm leaving it in the iris bed
right now only because it is providing color along with the daylilies and
the diaschia. But because it has expanded its territory it will be
transplanted to another area to make that space available for more TBs.
