	Hurray! An iris is in bloom here in the tundra -  present score:

	SUSLIK = 2    ATROVIOLACEA = 0

	Two of this wonderful MDB bloomed this AM ...different plants.

	SUSLIK was registered by John Burton in Mass.in 1996. It was grown
	from SIGNA seed collected in N. Caucasus (Russia) by Dr. Rodionenko.

	It is purple-red self with wonderful bushy blue beards with gold in
	throat. They stand out since they are the only ones blooming. :-)

	Have to go plant some more SIGNA seed from Hungary today - I. pumila.
	You never know.....
