Linda, I have had several people mention to me lately that I. aphylla does
need several years to settle in before doing its best. Saw two different
color forms of it at the Missouri Botanical Gardens yesterday. One looked
almost like a broken color on a light yellow background and the other was a
blue self. The blue self had better stalks and form, to my eye, but the
other was probably a very interesting breeder.
