SDB: Cherry Garden and other delights

From: JEM300@aol.com

Have been blooming here for almost a week. TINY CHERUB kicked it off as is
customary in my garden and it has been non-stop ever since. Some of my
favorites so far....

CHERRY GARDEN-an oldie but goodie. There is nothing more beautiful than
gazing at it while the sun is low on the horizon. Like a blazing
ruby....gorgeous. Great form, no wonder it was a Cook Douglas medal winner.
I think I have a path worn in the grass from walking up to it so often to
admire it.....

HOT--good description of the color and I am a sucker for round falls anyway.
Very cute. Bright gold stands with red falls edged in the color of the
standards. I could see this baby all the way from the house. Thanks for
sharing, Sterling...

PRETTY AGAIN-Suttons 1997 I received this as an extra and did not know
much about it. Very very nice. Soft yellow with a deeper "straw" yellow
thumbprint with soft blue beards. Great form and size. Also, it's a
rebloomer. I would be pleased to see it again. and again. and again.

WINDROSE-ahhhh love that smoky rosy lilac-y color. Soft and sensuous. My
husband even commented on it! Will wonders never cease?! ( He also liked
Pretty Again and Cimmaron Rose)

YIPPEE--unusual smoky pinky orchid plicata which grows like a weed and I have
about 12 flowers in bloom at this moment with more on the way.
Vigorous!!!!!!!!

FAVORITE ANGEL--white, pure and simple, nice ruffles with a sweet form. Like
a breath of fresh air. Chris Hollingshead...this one gets my vote for
favorite white.

BEDFORD LILAC--the most beautiful beards, look like they are frosted.
Classic flower.

Just starting to see some stalks coming along on the big guys....I LOVE this
time of year!!
