I think that the only suggestion on this in past posts has been to nick the
rhizome.  It has been suggested that this would encourage increase.  I will
be trying it this year on any reluctant growers.

Irises do put out new growth in the fall as well as spring, so you may not
be experiencing bloom-out yet.  For me, fall increase is usually better than
spring.

By the way, it is useful for your fellow "talkers" if you sign your posts
and include your general location and zone.
