AIS:Guest Gardens

From: John I Jones <jijones@ix.netcom.com>

I was under the impression that irises in guest display beds at nationals and
regionals were to be left "as is" for the tours. That is, spent blooms were to
be left in place, branches with no flowers left on the stalk, etc. Everyting
generally undisturbed so that the people viewing them could get a clear
picture of the performance of the cv in total, not just how the flower looked.
I noticed a great deal of grooming at the OKC gardens, and am a bit confused.
