Yes, indeed. The Cayeux family were, and still are today, French. They lived
and hybridized in France and won all the French Dykes Medals.
My BEOTIE is front lit and glows well in the sun. I had a cup of tea with it
last evening at dusk and it blew me away. I don't know another anything else
like it. Do you? I like the mysterious ones a lot. Which is not to say I
don't like a fluffy pastel explosion as well.
Many of my own favorite historics are Cayeux introductions. I've got LOUVOIS
in bloom at the moment, too, and a couple of more obscure ones. LOUVOIS is a
nice brown iris, or more properly, a deep brown-bag brown and winey-brown
bicolor. I like it a lot even if it tends to be squatty for me.
