Although lots of irisarians refer to them as "varieties", in actuality they
are "cultivars". The garden club folks around Louisville are trying mightily
to get us to change our ways about this, and I suspect this is probably a
nationwide drive!
Judy Hunt in Louisville, Kentucky, Zone 6 (really more like 5b), where a few
Siberians are still in bloom, but we're looking forward to the Japanese and
Louisianas.
