Cult: Rebloomers in the Cold

Hi Everybody:
    In North NJ where rebloomers just don't rebloom,I have just found 
buds on HI LOW SILVER and AMAIN. It's really getting cold here at 
night now. Don't know what to do. Buds look too small to just pick 
and bring indoors.
Last night it was supposed to go down to the 20's, so in 
desperation,  I put a bucket over each one.
In the morning, they seem to have gotten thru the frost better than 
their budless bed buddies (can't believe I said that!).
Is this helpful? Is there something else I should do?
