Laetitia,
Can't believe that you posted this question just as I clicked on,
planning to give my recent experience with buds facing the cold.
I had that quandry (to cut or not to cut) and finally decided to cut
the stalks and bring in, sticking them in cool water in a vase on the
windowsill. Those showing color I was pretty certain would bloom
inside (Grecian Goddess this time), but those with tight buds I held
out little hope for. But every one (Concertina this time) has
bloomed inside for me. And now the other two tight buds on Grecian
Goddess are beginning to bloom. Truly feels like little miracles of
winter.

and roses are still blooming their little heads off. Sure helps to
get through these days.
