Chuck,
Yes I did pull off enough outer leaves on all 6 rhizomes in my clump
of Candy Rock to see that on each one there was a distinct 1/8"
purple ring right on the top and the rest of the rhizome was white.
I'll try to get a photo before they are all covered with snow.
