I don't know. I may have replaced it once or even twice, but it
never made it into bloom in my garden.

Walter, Judy et.al.:
Mesmerizer grew well enough for me until it got crowded out of existence by a much better performer, Stingray, which reblooms almost constantly. I know others in the area who grow Mesmerizer also, and it is generally a very good performer. Both are space-agers, although Stingray only has horns. It resembles Blue Suede Shoes (Schreiners). The problem with both, unfortunately, is that they do resemble historics. The modern, ruffled form and wide, overlapping falls are missing. Both have exceptional height and bud count; for me the branching structure on Stingray is slightly better, and it is a little less likely too fall over/sag. The photo was an exceptionally good specimen, but not unusual. I rarely had one that attractive, as the weight of the flowers and tall stalks meant that they almost always sagged, leaving the sun-seeking blooms all facing sideways if the stalk was held erect.
