Hate to dump cold water on your parade, but well, you'll find out... The very best scanner in combination with the best OCR software, is, to be gernerous, only able to pick up about 99% of the text (closer to 98% for most). Unfortunately, you have to proof read 100% of it to find what it didn't get...

Good idea. Once the scanned file becomes a text format, it is
certainly feasible to import it into MS Access, where it can be sorted,
formated, and printed to the heart's content.
