 Betty my seeds planted 11/2001 were watered all winter. Someone said not to
let them dry out. Maybe I over did it but over 50% rotted that year. I dug
them up and they were intact but soft and mushy. Some smelled like soft rot.
Some were ok and sprouted the next year. Replanted the ones that were still
hard.

I have no place to put my seed pots in the ground. Mine just sit out in the
weather. I use mum pots. Germination is not great here. That year I had 45
out of 500.
I changed potting soil. I use Smart Soil. It has that stuff in it that looks
like clear Jell-O. I also use it to pot the seedlings. This year it was 200+
out of 500 seeds.
