Re: HYB: REB: bicolors

Betty, I have been searching for bi and multicolors that will do well
enough here to give me pollen and had been crossing everything I could
get onto IMMORTALITY and HARVEST OF MEMORIES. Sure do wish I'd had
VIOLET MIRACLE blooming this spring!

Seedlings/seeds so far from rebloomers or nonreblooming seedlings of
rebloomers:
LIGHTNING RIDGE (X non-reblooming but most reliable seedling of IMM X
CELEBRATION SONG)
PRINCE GEORGE X (same as above)
CHANGELING X (ditto)
SPANISH REBEL X (ditto)
SEAKIST X (ditto)
HARVEST OF MEMORIES X (ditto)
Above seedling X SO FINE
HOM X mixed pollen from several non-reblooming sibs of the above
seedling (also several individual crosses with siblings with the best
looking showstalks and biggest flowers)
HOM X ?BARCELONA
HOM X SEAKIST
HOM X RINGO
HOM X (mixed pollen from a rose bicolor pallida type seedling and
SPANISH REBEL)
HOM X C SONG
HOM X WHOLE CLOTH
IMMORTALITY X ROMANTIC EVENING
IMM X WHO'S YOUR DADDY
IMM X STUNNING SERENADE
TEA LEAVES X PEACH SPOT
Reblooming amoena sdlng (IMM X CSONG) X WHO'S YOUR DADDY (or maybe the
bees got this one - labeling question)
Above amoena X HOM
Above amoena X ROMANTIC EVENING
Above amoena X WHO'S YOUR DADDY
Non reblooming white sdlng (IMM x CSONG) X sdlng SDB BEING BUSY
lookalike
HOLD THAT TIGER X yellow non reblooming seedling from IMM X CSONG

And then there were the non-reblooming crosses with BARCELONA, FOREIGN
KNIGHT, STUNNING SERENADE, LIGHTNING RIDGE, RINGO, HOLD THAT TIGER,
STRAWBERRY PLAINS, CORAL BEADS, ARMAGEDDON.

Plus the attempts that failed with STUNNING, MOST STUNNING, and others I
can't think of.

I got really carried away last year and this year - most incredible
bloom seasons I've had in the 30+ years I've been growing irises here,
so I figured I'd better make pods while I could.

I don't expect most of these crosses to produce many seedlings, but more
than enough to keep me happy.
