I guess this dummy needs to know what the real difference is between being a
'Section' or a 'Cooperating Society'.  There must be advantages and
disadvantages to being one or the other or it wouldn't be an issue.

Don't some local iris societies decline to be affiliates of AIS?  Seems
there might be one in my general area of Texas that is not an affiliate of
AIS.  The result of that, for me, is that I never hear anything about what
they do since I get that information via AIS publications.

Texas Zone 7b, USA - who is going to let the single rebloom stalk of DIME
SPOT freeze.  No way am I going to dig the clump and bring it indoors.  I
guess mid 20sF is too cold for the sock cover?   I was planning to try that,
but as usual we are going to skip frosts and go straight in the deep freeze
for the night.
