extremely
abrasive, spare no prisoners, in yo' face, positively new thread. Any
takers?) said:
<these are my Wish-ter choices:
Sea Power (which isn't eligible until 2005)
Splashacata (which we lost during a bad rot year)
Santa (a Ghio that survives in Ottawa)>
SEA POWER - grows fairly well, terrible bloom on short stalks, but at
least it tries
SPASHACATA - I think it died - never blooms (but the pictures sure are
pretty!)
SANTA - haven't tried
After much thought and helpful input from folks, candidates new here
include:
WORLD PREMIER
SUNNYSIDE DELIGHT
Eager to see how they do this spring.
Best/most reliable newish TB here is NIGHT GAME. I don't think it has
ever failed to bloom for me & doesn't need dividing to keep blooming. I
guess it's way too old, but we are talking Wishter...
Anybody care to post the list of potential candidates?
Happy Thanksgiving everybody - my thanks list includes a few irises <g>
Baby Whooping cranes are way behind schedule and their frustrated crew
of humans trying to move them south are stuck in Tennessee for
Thanksgiving, far from family, but surrounded by friends.

Most of the adult birds, taught the migration route as babies the last
two years, have already made the trip by themselves from Wisconsin to
Florida for the winter.
