REB:Daughter of Stars:Spoon irises

After talking poorly about DOS, complaining of no bloom, I was fortunate
enough to watch 4 stalks bloom over the course of this fall. I began this
display unimpressed, and ended really liking it and (maybe) being a luminata
convert.

Spoon irises: Last year I planted DOS, Zee, Second Hand Rose, Liquid Amber,
Love Goes On, Peach Berry Swirl, Cobra's Eye, Apollo's Robe, Lilla, Autumn
Joy, & Aunt Margaret. In most cases I had 2 rhizomes.

Love Goes On (1 rhizome) didn't bloom in the spring but put up a stalk after
regular bloom season (June) and another stalk began blooming in Sept and
went through most of October. One stalk bloomed for almost 6 weeks . . . one
bloom at a time. Peach Berry Swirl, Cobra's Eye, Apollo's Robe and Aunt
Margaret have stalks but I don't think they will open. Have no fall memory of
Autumn Joy so my guess is it has neither blooms or stalks. Lilla & Liquid Amber
both opened a few blooms and were hit by the freeze over 2 weeks ago. In the
spring, I was fascinated by Cobra's Eye.

These irises are planted in last year's bed and are doing well. In 2004 I
planted irises as they were delivered. Therefore, everything is grouped
according to supplier, and alphabetically (mainly) within that group.
