Iris Books

Good morning folks: Every since Anner wrote about a week ago mentioning Iris
in the Little Garden I have been turning my house upside down looking for my
copy of it. Since, like its title, it is little it could easily hide. Hmmm I
haven't looked among my little old books written around the turn of the
century about public health and a surgeon's field book about battlefield surgery
and treating war wounds etc. (I used to work for Texas public health and
collected related old books). Anyhow to get back to iris, I have a new addition -
Iris for every Garden by Sidney Mitchell, 1949. Also I have asked my public
library to order Iris: A gardener's encyclopedia for me so I can look before I
buy.
Hope everyone is headed for a safe and low-fat turkey day.
