This iris bloomed in my garden for the first time this year. The tones were
a great deal darker than shown in this photo. The falls were almost plumb.
My oldest granddaughter declared it her new 'favorite.'

The catch? It has the Victoria Falls syndrome! The stalks fall on the
ground, which is how I found it when I got back from St. Louis. I've been told
this is typical??

Betty,

I have grown POEM OF ECSTASY (Hager, 1997) for 8 years. It is my favorite TB in its color class (pink/lavender bicolor). I have not noticed that it has any tendency toward leaning or falling stalks (and, yes, VICTORIA FALLS does live up - or rather, down - to its reputation here).
