Paul, If I may be so bold, what is your goal with the Stairway to Heaven X
Select Circle cross?
I believe it was 1987 when I moved both Beverly Sills and Victoria Falls
into the same bed, early in the summer. Victoria Falls bloomed that fall. I
quit counting the buds on VF at 18. Beverly had 5 stalks the next spring. It
was gorgeous. Then it promptly died! But it went out in a blaze of glory.
It bloomed here this past spring.
I have a pink line that includes Beverly Sills and some orange sporadic
rebloomers of about the same rebloom potential. (Sunset Sonata x Orange Empire).
No rebloom but I've not been able to trash the last two due to lace and
perfect branching. The deep rose mauve one has produced some gorgeous but weak
seedlings crossed by Candy Clouds.
