Hi, Mark:
My best guess on your dollar-for-2-pots iris is I. pallida 'Variegata'.
I have a couple of clumps & love the leaves. Mine haven't bloomed for me
yet (this past summer was their 2nd in my garden) but when they do they
have light to medium purple flowers, selfs I believe. They're very hardy
& of course, grow very happily in the Mediterranean area which is their
home so maybe they'll like Florida, too.
Marte in the mtns Zone 4/Sunset 1 Colorado Several days this
week of temps in the 60's! Wonderful, got lots done outside, but it
wasn't to last -- it's starting to snow here now...
