I was not invited to reply, but I have been at many AIS Conventions since
my first in Hamilton, Ont.,Canada in l955. They are very exciting to
novices and full of interest to old-timers like me. The Denver Convention
of some decades ago was a Jim-dandy, and I hope to go next year. That time,
it was announced in the plane that Denver had had a huge hailstorm, and I
felt utterly disappointed. But they changed the order of gardens, and we
saw the Danver gardens the last day, and they had recovered remarkably
