Phyllis -- I was going to respond to your posting before I found your
very kind message to me at the end. It sounds as if you have a second
spring down there in Richmond! I was pleasantly surprised to hear that
Lenora Pearl was reblooming. I received it as a gift from Anner this
year and didn't realize it was a rebloomer. After it blooms in the
spring, I may lift it and transfer it to the rebloomers bed.
I'm reassured by your experience with pine needles, and am debating
whether or not to employ sand, which I have. But the early cold weather
may necessitate an early decision.
