Jan, you're no doubt right about the "triggers" -- what amazes me is
that semi-mature plants (rz, bulbs, etc.) can make the hemispherical
adjustment successfully, even if it does take some time. Something on
the order of teaching old dog's new tricks, I guess.

Hmmm -- pets in Oz may be smarter. It takes my cats roughly 10 days to
quit nagging for supper an hour "early" by the re-set clocks every fall,
which just took place here, too. Of course, they don't beg for supper an
hour LATER in the spring so maybe it's their human that's not too swift
(see comment re old dog's, above.)

Marte in the mtns	Zone 4/Sunset 1  Colorado -- where the clouds settled
down on the ground in time for Halloween & have barely risen above it
since. Snowfall in spits & starts that hasn't amounted to much, yet.
