AIS: 'Bored' and the Print Index

        I don't understand the 'index' either.  If you have the '39, '49,
'59, '69, '79, '89 Check Lists and the supplements for the years following,
don't you already have more than just an 'index?'  The only value for it I
can see is its use for a 'quick reference' at shows to make sure of an
introduction date, that is, if it comes in only one volume.


        What we want is a searchable database, not another hard copy.  We
already have these, so I don't know why there is such hoopla and excitement
for this new 'index.'  Somebody please bring me up-to-date on this printed
index and tell me why I am supposed to do handsprings all around the room
over this announcement.
