Unlike kudzu or the water hyacinth the pseudacarus would only probabley
compete with the wild cat tails and reeds that grow in the shallow sunny
wet areas around lakes ponds or bar ditches already.
I just don't see them as a pest that will clog the water or take over whole
feilds.  At the Fort Worth Botanical Garden they have it planted around a
pond that attaches to some ditches and I don't recall it takeing over. They
may use some weed control to keep them in bounds but I don't know one way
or another.  Does it go wild or cause trouble in Florida?  Maybe Mark Cook
can answer this one?
