Dear Carryl,
     Recently George Sutton spoke to the Ft. Worth Iris Soc.  He said that he
had found that using Alfalfa Pellets around his walnut trees decreased the
nematode population
in the soil around them.   So, you might try it in your vegetable garden and
see how the carrots look.
