Dear Sally - There certainly seems to be a plethora ofnirisw books lately, but
Bills is a terrific one to have. Maybe Santa Claus could bring you the one
you don't buy. It sounds very interesting - I'll have to find out what the
exchange is and how complicated it is to get before I can think about telling
Santa! The children are always interested in "suggestions" Here is another to
eat your heart out for: Geoff Stebbings "The Gardener's Gide to Growing
IRISES" He is from the UK, and it is published there (David and Charles)
and in this country by Timber Press - costs $29.95. I haven't read it -just
looked at the pictures which are laid out on the pages in an unusual way..
I am fascinated with youjr emaio address. About a dozen years ago I took my
youngest grandchild to Kenya - the first time I had traveled with a boy - he
was l3 at the time - the others had been granddaughters at that age. Anyhow I
just loved to watch the warthogs - When they came up to the viewing station I
told them they had faces only a mother could love. They were so ugly , they
were captivating -- and I thought they were so cute when they ran away with
those little tails straight up in the air. following each other
in a line! Rosalie nr Baltimore, Maryland - zone 7 - very dry weather = we
needed the little rain that came during the night - something to be thankful
for since today is Thanksgiving Day for us. ryfigge@aol.com (I'm Pres. of the
Reblooming Iris Society a Section of AIS until May when my 3-year term ends) -
Do you have any rebloomers? If you enjoy irises once, why not again and
again??!
