I can't say I'm surprised. I don't know what scares me more.
The fact they are doing it or the fact it doesn't surprise me. A couple
of the points mentioned in the article are of interest. They claim that
water soluble fertilizers are safe. Is this true? They also claim
Canadian rules are tougher. Are we really safer on this side of the
border?
On a sort of related note. I intend to take advantage of the
city's compost program. Problem is they only sell it by the tonne.
Nobody seems to have a clear idea how much a tonne is. Anybody have a
rule of thumb to convert tonnes to cubic yards? Also can I assume the
compost is safe?
