Re: REB: Let new plant bloom?

Horrors, George! Don't be upset. They are onlyh doing their thing -
rebloomers try to rebloom - you are lucky! If you really have a bad freeze
in the offing, take the stalk in the house to enjoy. After the bloom is
finished is the time to cut off the stalk, otherwise it will rot and
cause problems. At least, this is the way I feel about it -- maybe someone
else will have other ideas. Perhaps those in the same zone as you - but I
don't understand how Harpers Ferry can be in USDA zone 4!! I know you are
in Region 4 - are you on top of a-can't really call them mountains! - high
hill? I thought WVA was in zone 6, with a small area in zone 5. How
about recording when they rebloomed so you'll know for next year. If they
are new to your garden, the rebloom was probably set before you received
them. Rosalie nr Baltimore USA zone 7 ryfigge@aol.com
