Hi Cheryl, glad to see you have come out of lurkdom to post a very funny
message. As a largeish herd owner I can fully relate to your
predicament...Often our cows go deaf to my husbands yelling to move out but
when I appear , they move very obligingly....They give him looks of..Oh Yeah
,,and So What....I can imagine the escapee cows you mentioned being totally
deaf to your reqests, no matter how loud or polite:)..They really do know
when they are being naughty, but often to choose to ignore yells and
threats....And I have found that when they escape to new areas , they turn
into such mischevious hooligans...Can drive any sane farmer mad
somedays...Pity we dont often share their sense of humour, as cows always
have appalling timing when choosing to misbeahve and havea bit of fun...It
always happens when you least expect it...We often say..if you leave a gate
for them to go into their paddock, someone always has a different idea,, but
if you accidentally leave a gate opened..100% per cent of the herd can be
found cavorting around knowing full well, that they shouldnt be there...
Thanks for the giggle, I enjoyed it, Cheers from Wendy Sargeant, Victoria,
Australia.
