I can't figure out LADY FRIEND.. Remember the year we met at the
Lebanon Tennessee show? I especially drove all the way over to see
their show because we had had an especially bad late freeze & I was
hoping to see some 'survivor' irises. I think there were more stalks of
LADY FRIEND on display than any other iris. I immediately bought a
start of it, yet it suffers heavy freeze/rot damage here in my garden
nearly every year and rarely opens any blooms at all. Then, one year,
it bloomed better than nearly anything else here. It certainly keeps on
growing in spite of repeated 'trauma'.
