radiation

Ages ago my father took some corn seeds into work for me and had them
subjected to different levels of radiation for our science class. The seeds
that recieved low to moderate doses of radiation actually grew faster and
more robust than the control seeds and the ones recieving high doses.
It's been 30 yrs and I don't remember the dosages but plants take much
higher doses of radiation than animals do with no ill effects. The moderate
doses of radiation were actually good for the plants. Might be a real plus
if your seeds got zapped.
